Changes!

As many of you know, it's been silent in the blogosphere lately here- the end of my Chautauqua Symphony season knocked me out a bit (25 performances, 22 programs, 2 operas in 8 weeks), coupled with a huge move, a birthday, a wedding to attend, and more.  (yes, you heard that, move!)  I'm really excited to be living in Seattle, WA, this upcoming year as my sabbatical year from the San Antonio Symphony.  I'll be teaching pilates and yoga,  freelancing and building up some of my website and digital offerings.  My orchestra in San Antonio has had a few really tough years in terms of finances and administration, and coupled with the challenges trying to teach movement there, constantly taking auditions and driving to sub around the state, I was burnt out to say the least. I managed 12 auditions in 12 months, but I definitely need a change of pace!  For now, I'm juggling the challenges of moving my belongings cross country and getting into my new unit here in Seattle, but I'm excited to have more time to write and produce content, and work on some sneaky new projects that I can't reveal yet.

As always, thanks for your readership!
